Does anyone have information in regards to the new Mistborn book coming out? I'd like to know about the characters, setting, new alloys and metals, etc. Thanks in advance.
-
it apparently takes place 300 years after the trilogy, so most of the original characters will be dead, except Marsh, the kandra (Sazed stuck the spikes back in after everything was over), and of course Sazed himself.
And that's about all I know.

All the new metals are on the Table of Allomantic Metals that Brandon has for sale in his store. Wikipedia also has the info on them in the article, "Allomancer." (Yes, that article actually exists.)

There is apparently going to be a lesbian character in this novel. And a bendalloy and cadmium misting.
-
There's also supposed to be a wicked awesome allomantic gun fight!
-
Why a lesbian?

Why a lesbian?
Because there are lesbians on Scadriel, and this one does something important.

I'm excited to see a homosexual character!

Oh the things I could say to that..... ::)

Why a lesbian?
What a strange question... why any other type of character? Because that's who they are, and that lets them play their role in the story.

The recent Tor-sponsored Q&A (link below) had some neat hints about what might show up. See especially the RAFO'd question about allomantically burning hemalurgic spikes. That sounds super exciting to me.

I'm anticipating some new and brilliant feruchemical tricks, but that's mostly just wishful thinking rather than based on real information.
Also, having just finished a re-read of the trilogy, I have to say that I really want a metallurgist character--someone who makes the alloys for allomancers, feruchemists, and company. That would be an interesting perspective on the world. If we don't get one in Alloy of Law, I hope Peter or Brandon will see this post and realize they are missing an important demographic.
