Anyone know how to connect a laptop, using a 10/100 PCMCIA NIC card, to a desktop, which has a NIC card in it, so the laptop can use the desktop's network connection to get to the internet?

I have no idea...did the linking card (or whaever it is) come with instructions relating to things like that? All the help I can give you is just to say search on the net for that stuff. Its bound to be out there somewhere.

They way we do it, Gemm, is by creating a LAN.  Others--most especially Tage--are more knowledgeable about this than I, but I believe you buy a hub, connect the internet to that, then run plugs out of the hub to various computers so they can all use the same internet connection.

That should work, it's how the laptop in our house works.

Or as someone pointed out to me you'd need a cross-over cable.
