Nothing like getting money from friends
« on: March 05, 2004, 04:25:25 PM »
So I cleaned out last night. Made a big pile of all the movies, books, CDs, and other random stuff that I don't use anymore. Basically, I weeded, which is something I haven't done in years. And rather than throw it away or give it to the poor, I've decided to sell it to my friends. There are 4 singles' wards out here, each with a listserv on which announcements, apts for rent, yard sale stuff, etc. gets posted on.

So I posted my stuff, and how bout that? I've already made over $30. And gotten rid of the dead weight, to boot.

Nice.

Yes, because there's no way thats better than giving it to the poor... I mean, they'll probably just spend it on booze anyway...?

I think that's really cool. If you don't use it anymore, then y not get rid of it...and make money in the process...

Certainly. Have a non-elucidean cookie, guaranteed to kill (tested on fell clones).

He claims it's 'cause his english isn't good.  But he seems to be able to spell just fine some of the time.  Which means he's just lazy, which adds one more thing to the "annoying" list.

hibernian and gaelic, then i learned to write in caledonian, because hibernian is an entirely tonal launguage it has no alphabet and no real way of spelling the words, or specifying them for that matter.

So would that be the difference between Scottish Gaelic and Irish Gaelic?

I learned a little Scottish Gaelic in college, and always thought it would be interesting to learn more. Right now all I can say pretty much is co as a ha hu, which I'm sure I've completely misspelled, and a few other small greetings. I've never heard it referred to as Caledonian. Is that the preferred term?
