What could go wrong with my cheap memory?
« on: July 06, 2003, 03:46:02 PM »
Well after having my cheap memory sticks of 256 MB PC 133 SDRAM for almost 2 years, I've decided to take them on a nice little test. So I did. One's completely fine. Another one is partially bad, but not as bad as the last one. In about 2 hours of testing it had a good 780 errors or so. Ya, guess something was bound to happen.

Mine wasn't cheap ram, let me correct.  It was nice ram, but used.  It slowed my computer down, we think because my older version of windows was confused by having so much memory.

The only Windows OS' that take full advantage of over 512 MBs RAM are XP and 2000 I believe.

Yeah, that's what Tage guessed the problem was.
