Ouch, Fell.

Have you seen this ? Apparently BYU is starting up an alumni placement service. It's worth a look.

The only other leads I have right now are the Church magazine internship, which probably doesn't pay well enough and involves a long commute. But if you're interested, PM me and I'll get you the details. I'll also keep an eye out for anything else.

I have the DVD.  It's Christian Bale, after all. (And I'm guessing there will be a lot of "I'm BATMAN" jokes on the rifftrax). :D

I may need to do some gymnastics to find a babysitter, so the sooner we pick a time, the better. I'd prefer to have it on Friday night, if at all possible, so I won't be juggling sleep schedules for a school/early-church-the-next-morning night for me or my munchkins, but I'll try to be there no matter what time we choose.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Alcatraz cover art?

Heh. A very fun cover. But, I wonder whether having a model on the front cover could cause some (probably minor) casting problems in the future should Alcatraz ever become a movie.

Nessa, I'm so jealous. Enjoy the time away from the munchkins.

Hmm. Do you know of anyone who might be interested in borrowing my own personal male-dominated nerd herd for a weekend? ^_~

I'm happy because my section of English 150 has been moved out of the testing center. Not only was the classroom funky and unable to meet the needs of the students, but there's kind of a bad karma about having a class in the testing center. Not that my new classroom is perfect. It's on the sixth floor of the SWKT and there's a chalkboard in the room--not a whiteboard. *shudders*

Nope. Unless someone sneaked in a vote when I wasn't looking, I answered the poll on the front page, and again in this thread, and the poll value went up by one each time.

Maybe this has something to do with the weird login/logout problem I have on this site.

Ok, stacer. When you're here in a couple of weeks, I'm going to have to kidnap you and take you to my upstairs neighbors so you can get a taste of the wonderful workout that is Wii Sports. ^_^

The only issue I see is that forum members can vote twice: once on the front page and once here.

Yup. I compared the temp here with where I used to live (near Fairbanks), and when it came to coldest place, my local temp won.

May I suggest using Amazon.com? If you make special arrangements with a seller, they may be willing to ship the books overseas. Unless there's a problem with your accessing the site. Then you may have to bribe someone here to buy them and send them to you.

The shininess. There's something about shiny chrome that just appeals naturally to the Y chromosome.

It looks like my boys will be home before we start this, so I'll need details--like where and when, exactly, are we doing this and what other activities are planned.
