There are too many Xenophobes on this forum! :D

I don't like the term Xenophobe.  The 'phobe' part implies we're afraid of something.  What's the latin word for 'dislike'?

I think "phobe" might be also the latin term for dislike.

Wouldn't it be an interesting look at the mindset of the ancients if it were?

The term also implies that we don't like new people because they're new and different, rather than the fact that they often don't post anything of interest. There are several people here that have never received a hazing. And being a friend of a forum member doesn't have anything to do with it, as many forum member friends have been hazed.

I wasn't hazed--teased, but that's not the same thing. The secret is to lurk first and get a feel for the average post before you post.

Cheese,

I apologize for missing your posts.  Because I didn't see them, and the responses, it appears I was negligent in my duty as Official Forum Newbie Defender.  So, let me retroactively say, shame on you all and be nicer to people.  (Plus, instead of mocking people, you could--you know--just point them toward the FAQ.  That's kind of the reason I wrote the thing.)

Ps--how'd you get back down to one post?  Did you do something odd to your profile?

I've been wondering all along where he posted that he needed to be remorseful for.  ???

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's confused.

MsFish, you and I often seem to be in the same boat around here.  :D

I'm confused too.

I thought the only newbies that got hazed were the ones who came in advertising, using horrible grammar, or leet speak.

I don't remember getting hazed.  Then again, I think I joined when there were all of 30 members.

Yep, I've never role played or anything like unto it, unless you count playing Settlers a few times.

I thought I was the only one that doesn't role-play.

Doesn't that make them sub-human?

no, and no.

What an uninteresting and pointless line of conversation this is becoming.

Well, for some reason I was lead into believing that role-play is very important in life. Also, I was lead into believing that you are a kind sir and that you are hot. I complemented you and all you did was diss me!

I dissed you because you dont try to have normal conversations. A one sentance zinger, barely qualifies as conversation among people who barely know you. If youd just act natural, and stop trying to write shocking nonsense people might not be hazing you.

Look we arent offended by the things your saying, just unimpressed.
