Unless sprig did it without telling us, there were no changes until I did a proof read.

Don't worry about it--cleaning up copy is our job. You're a better writer than almost everybody I edit for at my real job.

Like I said to you on IM, I liked the article it just needed the standard clean up.

I think you mean "senses," Sprig. But yeah, I agree. Even if you don't think it was funny, you have to recognize that it was a joke, and that other people did find it funny. And seriously, beside that, if you are sensitive enough that an argument between admins will really upset you, then I think you are addressing the wrong problem.

Jena, you need to relax. This was, speaking of April Fool's jokes, relatively harmless. You are getting tunnel vision as to the purpose of the site. Yes, it is a review site. Yes, it tries to be professional about that. But that isn't to say that this site isn't for fun as well. As a matter of fact, I should say that this site is primarily for enjoyment, considering nobody is making a living off of it. The people who are actually involved in the publishing process do so because they chose to, not because they have to. And many people in the forums aren't even involved with the publishing process of this site. They are just here because they enjoy the site. So, to get upset about the regulars of the site having fun, pulling a joke, is denying what this site is about.

Whew, thank goodness Sprigg won't be the one editing reviews after all. ;) lol.

Oh, and Archon, I'm all for TWG being fun, believe me. Then again, I'm all for keeping TWG around, period. So I think what irked Jena the most was not the fact that the guys were having some (retarded) fun but the fact that other websites have imploded after similar personal skirmishes. Put another way, it wasn't so much about the sqabbling having threatened professionalism, per se. Instead, it was more feeling as if the prank was a cheap shot--for the admins to have caused concerns that the "fight" might just spell the beginning of the end for our beloved little forum, that's all.

Anyhow, the whole thing, I admit, makes me chuckle now. After all, what could possibly threaten the mighty TWG? Also, my Friday was already sucky, so I wasn't in a particularly teasable mood that day, if ya know what I mean. But you can bet I'll be ready for your tricks next time 'round. ;)

And I bet an empty drinks can and a rusty nail.

Good joke. But then, I didn't read it til I knew it was a practical joke. Not that it would have scared me. The worst thing fo me would be Spriggan's proof-reading.
Frankly, I'm shocked. But, even more frankly, I'm always shocked.

I knew people wouldn't believe me as a proof-reader that's what I explicitly stated in the "staff changes" thread that I wouldn't be doing so, which was made funnier by the fact I didn't when I posted Jeffe's article.
