So, despite my fondness for undead minions, I think I've found something even better: College Freshmen.
Really. They'll do anything I say--all I have to do is offer them a few nebulous 'points.' If it's 'for points' they're willing to go to amazing lengths. For instance, I mentioned that I would give 'points' to students who brought treats for the class on the day of the final. The results--I have a huge left-over back of snacks sitting on my kitchen table.
Yes. This will work out nicely.
-
Well, that's interesting.
Just be careful with that. Make it clear that those things are extra credit and are not required to pass the class. Which I'm sure you did.
Teachers can be accused of encouraging bribes which can be the death of your career. Kind of like a polititian.
Ah, the politics of educations. There is nothing like it.
-
On the contrary, I think it should be required. Except, instead of treats, gift certificates to restaurants.
-
It starts with treats and then gift certificates and then cars and the next thing you know EOUL has turn his class into his personal prostitution ring. EOUL is just a dirty old man. Good thing the jusdge is going to put him behind bars. I can't believe I ever associated with him. You think you know a person and look what they do.
-
I think you should talk to Brenna. I have a feeling that you success had more to do with "sugar" than with "points".
-
Careful, or I'll send my hoard of undead freshmen after you.
-
So would that make him EUOP?
(evil undead over-pimp)
-
I guess so. Just give him a bunch of freshmen and all sense of morality goes out the window.
-
Hum. I suppose the thread mentioning my blue suede jacket isn't helping my case any, eh?
-
Reminds me of my D&D game on tuesday. GM stands up, and says, "Who wants a free feat?" The fat (23 stone at last count) dwarf player says, "Me!". To which the GM says, "Go to Tescoes and get some food for me."
Player: "Sure."
GM : "Ah, GM influence."
Heh. EUOL should be Evil Undead Over Elf (EUOE), simply for the comedy mental image.
-
PEUOE
Pimpin' Evil Undead Over-Elf
-
how do you pronounce "PEUOE"?
-
Pee-You-Oh!
-
All right. Someone's goin' to the corner.
-
Did you wear your blue suede jacket to class? If points ever stop working you should say that you'll wear your jacket to class if they do what you want.
-
I think he should offer to shave his head.
-
Pee-You-Oh!...hmm...
sounds like a collectible card game of some sort, probably invovling zombies, freshmen, and streetwalkers, and elves.
Can you picture a spiky haired PEUOE on the cover of all the booster packs? We're talkin' franchise, baby!
-
Now, I know why I take classes online.
-
Excuse me while I remain totally unimpressed EUOL.
-
All right. Someone's goin' to the corner.
Woot! No more me in the corner! I love this!
-
EUOL, you need to talk to my teacher. Humph. College freshman = extra points, grad student = treats to hold us over the supper hour while class goes over 3 hours. We brought treats tonight for our mock Caldecott and the class that normally goes from 3:30 to 6:30 ended up lasting till 9:00. Yeesh.
-
Oh come now, it was only an extra 2:30 hours. Not like it was a total waste of time though. Because I'd be upset if it were then.
