Article: GURPS Lite/WWII

It always kind of bothers me when people complain about how WotC only does things to get more money (well, they ARE a company, in it for the money, after all) by releasing new books, when Steve Jackson is the epitomy of this. GURPS has always deliberately designed books to leave content out that can only be found in another books to make you buy more.

Which is why it doesnt' surprise me that the Lite rules aren't even playable by themselves.

So, GURPS players, talk to me more about GURPS WWII. Any reason I need it rather than just core rules to play in WWII?

I have to raise the comment that the review was completely worthless. What was it reviewing? I couldn't tell if he was reviewing the GURPS WW2 corebook, or some freebies off the web. He meandered into GM advice at one point.

Since i'm playing in a GURPS WW2 game right now, a commandoes game, i can tell you its a good game if you fancy shooting nazies. There is a lack of roleplaying though, but thats not uncommon in my group. We tend to go for object orientated solutions.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

Since I mentioned where to get it (Free off the web) and also mentioned that I was only reviewing GURPS lite and not GUPRS WWII (Which has the missing information in it)... I would have to disagree with you.

also, since there is virtually nothing included in the lite rules with reguards to setting I was giving people advice about what to do with them. Which I think is perfectly valid in a review.
