One item I think is good about Moore coming to speak at UVSC is that he's coming to bash Bush just before the presidential election in a state that is almost a lock solid pro-Bush. If he's trying to keep Bush from being re-elected he would be better off going to another state to perform his antics just before the election.

Ooh, good point.  His desire to be controversial and offend people is actually going to backfire on his political goals if he comes here.

Incidentally, I wonder if he will be happy if Kerry gets elected either.  In the debate last night Kerry stated that he would send troops into Sudan even if they didn't pose a threat to us in order to prevent another Rwanda.  I attach the quote below:

Question: Senator Kerry, you mentioned Darfur, the Darfur region of Sudan. Fifty thousand people have already died in that area. More than a million are homeless. And it's been labeled an act of ongoing genocide. Yet neither one of you or anyone else connected with your campaigns or your administration that I can find has discussed the possibility of sending in troops.

Moore has stated several times that Kerry is not Liberal enough for him, he likes Nader, but Kerry is better then Bush so he's voteing for him just to get Bush out of office.

Well that figures. Nader's all right, but he's also COMPLETELY INSANE.  Nothing personal against him, he just seems a few bricks shy of a full load whenever I hear him speak.

Sorry I just saw this forum and I have one thing to say about Moore.  He can go to hell cause he turn a tragedy into a money making thing.  The only way he could prove himself is if he gave all the money from his film to charity or the victims from 911 and he can also prove himself by never doing a film again.

Moore doesn't spend any of the money he makes from his films on helping others. He just makes money off of whining and then expects everyone else to fix the problem. It's repulsive.
