Title: 2nd Anniversary
Post by: Entsuropi on May 21, 2004, 05:54:36 AM
So, in 3 days (the 24th), I will have been coming to this silly, specious little site for 2 years.

o_0

I still remember my first post as well. It was a reply to a thread started by House of Mustard about my Tyranid review, where he welcomed me. I think I took the opportunity to start my habit of calling HoM 'Mustardio'.

So, after 2 years, I have nearly 2500 posts, am the number 6 poster *gives EUOL a disgruntled look* and can still remember posting a page and a half worth of posts in an hour griping with Lord of Me (AKA Isimir) about HoM failing to post a warhammer article on the promised time (thursday I believe).

I think I can now blame you guys for something. Not sure what... but something.

I remember that fatefull day, and it didn't take you long to start slapping down the other guy that joined around the same time as you (Lord of Me).

Who, as I recall, was in some serious need of being slapped around.

What ever happened to that guy, anyway?  He must have left in a huff--he didn't just go, he deleted his account and everything.

You've been coming to this site for two years? And I've been coming even longer than that. What time-wasting. Now I need to go slit my wrists.

The... Massively Multiplayer Online RolePlaying Forum  Game I think it was called.

I didn't realise he deleted his account. But I always suspected him of being Gargamel or Gemm.

I just blame the children.

Hrm... It appears that my original account has been deleted. I was one of the first half dozen or so registrants, but allthose posts were deleted because it was a fight with Tage over something stupid. I can't even remember what.

My current account is more than 15 months old, and I am the number one poster, with more posts than the next two combined.

I JUST CAN'T STOP TALKING!!

I have been around longer than it appears, too. 42 told me about the site 3 years ago when I was still at BYU, but I had to delete the old username when it was converted over.

Well happy anniversary, Ent.  I actually don't think that I've written an article since then.

Two years, one day, and 600+ posts. I guess I'm not all that much of a forum monkey deep down.

I don't remember asking your opinion, newb.

If you were to click on your name, you would see that it shows you when you registered.

Heh, Entropy.  In a short time, you and I will probably pass up Fell for postcounts.

Ah, I remember the day when I was the top poster on the forum...  Then SE, Sprig, and grad school came along....

Ha those were my decoy ninjas, my real Cyborg ninjas used them to catch your ninjas off gaurd.  Which worked well since your ninjas just died.

I think I'm going to have to declare "Ehlers' Law", in the spirit of Godwin's Law.

Ehlers' Law is that any message board thread will eventually lead to the discussion of ninjas.

I suspect that the Ninjas are actually running the world behind the scenes, illuminati style. Every thread turns to them because they're full of Hubris, and so like to be spoke about how cool they are.

My grammer is all over the place.

my ninjas, the real ones, not the stuffed animals that were all that's necessary to take out the first line of ninjas, who have actually hijacked control of the cyborg ninjas, warn you that this is a dangerous line of thought, JP, and if you value a long life, it might be in your interests to stop speculating on such matters which are, after all, ridiculous and positively untrue.

A ninjas sword isn't half as painful as a Koala's claw, let me tell you, and I get wounded by the latter on a daily basis. I'm not scared.

What was the publication date and subject of the first Semiannual Time-Waster's Guide article in TLE? I can't remember at all.

I think it was the September 2000 issue.  (Or, so SE said when I asked the same question, so I could put it in the TWG FAQ.)  That's about the right time--it would have been for Diablo II.

That is the date (I don't have it memorized, I just had my copy of the issue on my desk when I answered the question)

Ha you fool!  Who uses Cyborg Ninja's?  They're actualy containers for a deadly monkey neurotoxin that's spraying out as we speak killing all your real ninjas!

ah, but they were using remote control and hacking techniques. They're no where NEAR the death traps, because we suspected all along! Plus, now they have the trapped soul of Dolph Lundgren which they are using to channel a demon bent on destroying you and all you stand for!
