They're replacing the burnt out bulbs in my ceiling.

Now, where's that new computer...

yeah, it used to be dark in here.

Now it's so bright that dirt is running and hiding.

Yes, or as those of us in the business like to call them, Dust Bunnies. They'll be your downfall SE. Just you wait. One day you'll be breathing and bam! dust in your throat, you'll choke up and bam, gone. Best watch your back.

if they have to jump down my throat, wouldn't it be better to watch my front?

No, think about it first man. You watch your back. Each time you turn to watch it, bam! they try to get in your mouth (front) and bam! they hit your back! Ingenius!

Saint I need your help. Or stacer if she's on and sees this.

what's the difference between 1200x600 dpi, 1200x1200 dpi and 2400x600 dpi?

I know dpi is dots per inch, but does that mean the printer prints 1200 dpi vertically, but only 600 dpi horizontally? And if so, why would you ever want a printer than had good quality down, but not across?

The stupid web is not very helpful.

That's a good question. I assume your own assumption is correct, but I haven't really been able to figure that out myself.

Basically, 600 dpi printers print 600 tiny little dots across one inch and 600 dots vertically for one inch.

Well, that's helpful at least. But I don't understand why a printer would have a 1200x600 or 2400x600 dpi.

sorry, things got crazy at the end of work.
Basically, you don't need the vertical as much to make it legible.
