With a bang from Pi?
Or a whimper heard round the habitat from Ebby (with the help of Credomania, the broadcasting service that brings you all the dirt that we can see)?
Or...
-
Oh! Pi did a ka-thoom and a whimper, "I swear, that was an accident."
And ennesby is right there with congratulations.
-
I for one am not at all convinced this is actually the end. Although it certainly adds a new dimension to the question "How could it get worse?"

Oh, how true Pi's (http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20090909.html) words were....

true, true. But it is certainly going to complicate things. Now can Kevyn reconstruct our favorite robot despot? Should he?

And he wasn't even aiming at Lota!

And he wasn't even aiming at Lota!
I know. Which makes the (retrospective) irony of his statement all the better.

Maybe convincing Kevyn to do it will be the next part of the arc?

Heck, just watching him agonize over it... and consider what happens to Credomar without Lota... I can rebuild him, but should I? Oh, that could be fun! Add in ghosts of Lota (after all, an AI might very well not be exactly where the physical body is, right?) and we are set for some serious agony.
-
I'm just waiting for the angry mobs when they find out LOTA is dead...and who is responsible.
-
But wait... the head is talking! So who's behind the head?
-
Clearly, LOTA has uploaded himself to the cloud. ;D
-
To be completely honest, keeping his brain in his body would have been a really stupid thing for Lota to do. It's far too vulnerable. One of the advantages of being an AI is making backups a la Petey, and then hiding them in the safest place imaginable. Why I didn't see this coming, I'll never know. I would imagine that Lota is in no sense dead. It's only one small piece of hardware that would need to be replaced.

Lota probably IS Credomar now, and that's why he wants to get rid of all the people. :)

Maybe. I'd bet almost anything that this relates to the reason Credomar was built in the first place. The whole "Not really a habitat" thing has been given too much screen-time to be wasted now.
