Cascadiacon & et. al.
« on: July 09, 2005, 12:15:52 PM »
So, what's going on? Who's going, where will we stay, when will we know these things, why has this topic died? How is everyone doing?

I'm saving up some money for plane/con tickets and other paraphanalial. What's everyone else doing about this?

I'm still planning on going. I have a couch and some random floor space that people are welcome to stay on.  Can somebody point me in the direction of information about how many people are expected to come, venue, etc.? I don't know whether it's being held in the convention center or if it's smaller, and I have to pass the info along to other people.

I am trying to swing it. If I can, MsFish and I would be thrilled to stay on your couches or broom cupboards. Would that be okay?

Since we're planning on moving back to Ohio within a month or so I'm out.  However we're planning on going to GenCon, if anyone else is.

Chimera, you and MsFish now have first claim to my couch and air mattress. If I have a bed by then, that is. If not, I get the air mattress.  ;)

By the way, Fell, were you also planning on crashing at my place, or were you going in on the hotel with EUOL? It'll be a regular par-tay at my place that weekend.

Which reminds me, I should really register. I've been so broke lately I've been putting it off. I might just register at the door.

I bought my registration way back, but haven't yet got a plane ticket. Also haven't decided if Karen is coming or not. So we need to decide fairly soon. *sigh*

Well, if you decide not to come, I'll buy your registration. I still haven't gotten one yet. But I'd rather you and Karen were able to go.

You know, I've still never made it a con.  Ever.

It's kind of weird.

We accept, Stacer. Plan on us as roommates for almost a week (it's that long, isn't it? How exciting!). Well, we'll just sleep there mostly.

Do you get to go to the whole con? Or do you have to work most of it?

I didn't think I was going to get to go, but thanks to a loan from the Bank of MsFish (the best friend in the whole world), I can now! I am so excited. It is going to be so much fun!  ;D

In my defense I would just like to say that loaning Chimera the money is 99.9% selfish, because I want to go and I know I'll have a better time if she's there.  So there.   ;D :P

LAME!  My check cleared, but I can't register because Cascadiacon's internet registration is down until Monday.  Lame lame lame.

I don't think I'll be attending. Life is much too much in a rucus right now for me to be zooming around the country for hours on end in some high flying kite.

So I just got a bed this morning, you two will be glad to hear. You'll have to duke it out between yourselves who gets the air mattress and who gets the couch.  ;D

I still haven't registered, but hopefully I'll do that with my next paycheck, because I don't want to have to register at the door. (Again--Ookla, if you decide not to go, let me know, and I'll buy your registration off you.) But I will be there for the duration, hanging out with you guys. My boss said to go, have fun, hand out a lot of business cards, and see if we want to have a presence there (we don't have one, currently).
