Sega did something like that back when the Dreamcast was big. Seaman or something like that. It  was clever looking.

I've heard of it.  There is supposed to be some control interaction, for like the camera or something, but you never control the main character at all, she is independent.

The article lists several things that you tell her to do, so you have to control at least something...

If you only had camera control, then it'd be more of a movie than a game.
