Google really has made a technological jump with this interesting idea. Definitely worth checking out. Download only takes less than a minute on a cable connection.

It is really cool, and good for many hours of time-wasting.

Though it does make me wish I had more money for travel.

I found the images to be about 4-5 years old, but still it works great on my cable internet connects and allows me to waste so much time just looking around new areas of the world

Yes, the images are a little old, but I just found all of my childhood homes. Now I'm overwhelmed with nostalgia.

This may well be the coolest thing I've ever seen. The images of Mexico aren't as sharp as those of the US, but I still found all of my mission areas and one of my mission houses.

I found my house!

If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

I have now seen Entropy's house, though it was too fuzzy to get any real detail on. Mine is 40.17.17.02 N 111.43.23.53 W.

While we're at it, here's one of my houses in Mexico: 31.43.13.07 N 106.27.59.22 W. Though much cooler than that is the enormous message written on the mountain, that was visible throughout the city (and apparently from space): 31.42.16.75 N 106.31.08.11 W.

I have seen fellfrosches house.

The map zooming in like that gave me the feeling that it would load up into a game when it got to floor level, and i'd get to wander around fells house. :P

Plus it illustrated just how boring american addresses are.

Well, that's a Utah address. Most other states have cooler address systems (but ours is easier).

yeah, don't confuse lame Utah addressing with the rest of the country. My parents live on Red Horse Tavern Lane, for goodness' sake!
