Well, If the new's O' the Tage is correct then we'll be moving soon. I'd just like to say... Server we hardly knew ya. Here's hoping it'll all be painless.
-
Do we know where we are moving to?
-
Tage does and thats good enough for me.
-
I discussed it today with Fell (over root beer floats, incidentally), and we'll probably be moving TWG to its own hosting account. It won't cost much, and TWG is bringing in some money now, so it seems justified.
-
Ya hosted accounts aren't too expensive anymore. I got 2 years of 50g storage and 500gig/m transfer for $120 from Godaddy (though that was a promotion). That's like $5 a month (instead of the normal $7/month).
The issue will be what host will Tage go with and what services do they provide in their packages, but we don't have to worry about that since Tage knows his stuff and will get a good deal.

We've had very kind offers from Sprig and e to help host the site, but this seems like the best solution. If nothing else, it keeps the finances clean and easy to trace, which is important now that we actually have finances.
-
If money gets positive lots, maybe make TWG a non-profit?
-
I've talked with Fell about that before, he was hinting at doing such a thing but I'm not sure if he's decided yet.
-
If TWG is getting money then I would suggest incorporating TWG somehow, sooner, rather then latter. As a default, the IRS will see TWG as a taxable partnership (no partnership agreement necessary). If accounts have been co-mingled or otherwise not tracked, then the IRS can get very, very mean. Making TWG a nonprofit corporation sounds like a good idea to me. Let me know if you want some help with that.

My Dad's a CPA specializing in Incorporating (particularly in Nevada, where the terms are good). So if we get serious, I can call in for some air support on this one.
