Can I just be depressed that major authors don't come to Utah?

Yeah, well, that's great... that I can go see him AGAIN. Cuz, y'know, he hasn't been at a million events here for the last week.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

You know, if I wasn't a nice person, I think I'd hex you.  Hm.  Sounds fun.

You can go ahead and TRY to hex him, that would provide me some entertainment.  No, go ahead, do it.  ;D

the ninja monkeys do not respond well to hex threats. Expect them in the next few minutes.

I don't think I will.  Ninja monkeys always make such a mess.  They never return the books they borrow and they always get jam in the peanut butter jar.

And, apparently, butter all over themselves. Sweet buttered monkeys! (An image that returned to me this weekend because of all the ninja monkey talk.)

So he does talk about them outside of the forum. I bet his wife surely enjoys taming all of them and getting them ready for their missions. And his children, I'm sure, find the responsibility of picking up after the monkeys (you know, you, know).

Actually, SE didn't have a whole lot to do with it this time. It was Brenna and I, who saw something about monkeys in the program.

I refer everyone to this page (http://www.timewastersguide.com/boards/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=rantage;action=display;num=1082910194;start=0) again. Specifically this image (http://www.saintehlers.com/misc/images/monkeys/monkeybutter.gif).

Also, brand new one, in honor of the game that is discussed tomorrow. but since my FTP access isn't working, you must wait.

I don't know what you're talking about. Ignore the "last modified" date behind the curtain.

So I got a copy of Mort signed by mr Pratchett, and heard him lecture for about an hour... Im stoked, and he's just as funny in person as his books are. Sweet.

My wife came with me, she was very understanding,...

She had to be, for some reason the community I like to be a part in spends an inordinate amount of time trying to alienate other human beings. I dont know if it comes naturally, or if they have just had their dignity stripped away by years of oreos and obscurity in their parents basements... but it makes me a little uncomfortable standing next to that many stereotypes. Theres a difference between dressing up for a halloween party and going to see an author speak. And I wish they wouldnt act like the stalkers they sound like . Listening to their questions remined me of Shatner on SNL when the fans are asking scary personal questions and correcting him about his own life.. (That mare had a foal!?)

For the record, I think the people that post to this board are normal, stable human beings (mostly) mainly because neither Eric or I would dress up like Hobbits or Jedi, or some sort of motly jester clownlike thng that really doesnt fit in even with the stories of the author your going to see.

Oh and if your gonna stand in line, bathe first, and use deodorent.

Astrid "Why is it that all the things your interested in attract so many freaks?... And why does that woman have a witches hat on?"
Me "Derr.. I dont know, but lets get away from that guy wearing the "my father was a Klingon and my mother was a hobbit T-shirt."
