"We Used to Be Friends" by The Dandy Warhols--the theme song for Veronica Mars the TV Show.

I love this song. The way it's cut on the show is awesome, but the whole song is cool too. I broke down and bought the entire CD from iTunes because I really wanted the song, and it was only available on the album. I am quite satisfied with my purchase--it has a nice mix of music and moods.

Another person on the album that has impressed me is Ivy. I particularly like her song "Edge of the Ocean," which I had to buy separately. She seems to me to be a kind of mix of Enya, Avril Lavigne, and Norah Jones rolled into one. I could be totally off though. ;)

I walked on the treadmill two days in a row last week. Told myself that if I was going to watch a DVD had to do at least 30 minutes of hard walking to raise my heart rate. Found that the music in the fight scenes of Samurai Jack is very motivating--I even started running, which I haven't done in forever! I could totally helped out Jack and kicked some robot butt.  :D

I also like the battle over the bag of sand. It adds an element of silliness that is both appropriate for the book and very intriguing. Like people have said, it begs the question, "Why would you battle over a bag of sand?"

However, if I were EUOL, I also would have asked to make Alcatraz look less Harry-Potter-ish. Why couldn't he have blonde hair? Or a lighter shade of brown? Or even brown eyes--not greeny blue, which also tie back to Potter. What's wrong with the blonde, brown eyed children of the world?!? (I ask this partly because I was a blonde, brown eyed child when I was young.  ;))
