The final cage match is upon us! After 32 entrants, it's all up to Vin vs. Quick Ben. I'm feeling lucky people... my team, Texas A&M, won the Women's BBall tournament last night, and now Vin can win this nerdy fantasy death match!
Go here and vote!

The write-up struck me as odd, she was winning the entire time, even using Ben's own devices against him, and then suddenly she lost. I understand this can really happen, but for the Championship match, it seemed kind of lame. And also made it seem like Ben fluked the victory.
Oh well, vote for Vin!!!

I hope that Vin ends up winning, though I haven't read the Malazan books.

Things are looking grim for Vin...
I am actually kind of torn. Quick Ben is one of my favorite characters in Malazan, but I like Mistborn as a series better. Voting for Vin still.

I don't know, I haven't read any of the books with this other dude. But I figured it was going to be one of the super-mages that would take this thing, and Vin comes from a world that's just not that wizard-y.

No matter who wins, I think Vin takes the badass prize for using Jon Snow as a projectile weapon.

She definitely wins the badass chick prize.

As powerful as Ben is, there are many beings more powerful than himself in the Malazan books. His real power lies in his intellect - he is always prepared and often overly cautious. I have seen him use raw power only rarely. I wish we had seen more of his cunning in the match write-up...
