To the new overlord...

Hi Eric,

Do I get to be the first...well, the second to the first to post here? Man, you've got tons of bio info. You put me to shame. You realize, of course, that we'll look to your expertise now. I hope you're ready...cause I'm not! 8)

Eric James Stone:
I don't feel like an overlord.  I feel like more of an underling, especially when compared to people who have actually sold novels.

But I guess I do have at least some expertise when it comes to short stories, and I'll be happy to share what I've learned about writing them.

My problem is wrapping up the ending all neat and tidy. My inner-self wants to drag it out (hence most of my stories are novels), but I need to end it somehow in a way that's satisfying, but brief. Any pointers?

Fellfrosch:
I'd welcome some pointers on this too--my endings are awful.

I can verify this.
