I told a friend about TWG and he came over and tried to register, only to get an error on the registration page. He said he came back a couple times in the last couple days, got the same error. Not sure exactly what the error was, except that it wouldn't let him registe, but thought you should know about it.

Stacer,
I'll need more information, I'm afraid. I just made a test profile, and it worked fine. Ask him which class he is choosing, and ask him exactly what the error says. Also, login function is case-sensitive, so perhaps that is part of his problem.
-
Yeah, I figured you'd need more info, but he's out of town for the weekend now. I emailed him what you told me, so perhaps something out of it will help him, or he'll be able to tell me what the error is.
-
also have him check cookies.
-
I thought TWG didn't keep cookies?
-
If the cookies have been rendered down into their constituent atom-crumbs, then he should not panic. There are highly trained simian professionals on their way already, with cookies in tail.
-
A forum can't fuction without cookies, unless of course you type in your login every time you click a link...
-
TWG does use cookies. *nod*
-
This is probably not anything to do with the site itself, but I need to whine anyway.
The stupid computer keeps logging me off every time I go back to the main forum page. It's really quite obnoxious, and makes me want to hurt it. Grrrrr....
-
I thought that was just me and Safari...
good to know.

The computer you're useing has it's cookies blocked then, that's the only reason that the forum would do that.
-
Mine uses cookies and does not have them blocked.
-
Then maybe it's a way that Safari is dealing with the PHP or the cookies.
As an admin, my login for the forum also applies to admin features on the main page, and I've never had a problem either in IE or in Mozilla (the few times I've used it).
-
It's probaly more likely his work's firewall is blocking them or his browser is set to high security.
-
It's the work of spriggans minivan.
-
neither sprig... safari is for use on my home computer... and its on medium security and accepting cookies from TWG as a trusted site... and I never used to have this problem on the site.
-
I think that the computer I was using was just jacked up, because I found that if I hit refresh it logged me back in. Less obnoxious, but still weird. Who knows.
