Cool article.  I especially like the idea of older dice sharing their wisdom with the newer ones.  Nicely penned.

It's true! All my D20s roll 17 more often that you would expect. I buy a new one, it doesn't do this. Then I leave it in my dice bag and soon enough it starts doing it.

I don't have a dice bag really. I have a hand-carved, hand-painted, laquered, and jeweled box from Russia where I put dice I hope will behave well.

I also have platic dice that have crayon rubbed into the numbers and the edges are so worn they are nearly perfect spheres.

I destroyed the luck on Eagle Prince's d20's by rolling them once.

They rolled really well that one time, though.

My dice still reside in the clear plastic tube I bought them in. I'm an uber-newb.

I use a lether pouch that was originally supposed to be a sewing kit.  And a mini backpack for all my D6's I have to carry for frag, GURPS etc.

So what does it mean when you start sub-compartmentalizing all your dice? I recently separated out my cube of 36 d6's into their own mini dice bag (stuffed inside the normal one), and just yesterday put my d10s for WoD (30 in all) into another mini dice bag. Is this just normal obsessive organization?

Oh, and don't forget the dread d10,000s, a sure sign that you've played Hackmaster. (For those wondering, they're another set of d10s in multiples of 100 and 1000).

I think sub-compartmentalising is normal for anyone who plays RPGs on a regular basis.  Its when you start gettign into elaborate rituals, or naming them that it gets OCD

Heh...So many dice to talk about and so little time.  :)  Mine were once sorted by type and color, then I went nuts and threw them all back in one big bag together to share secrets.

New member, first post.  :D

There was a dice sign and system left out!

Several Cubes of 12mm D6

Shadowun.

Everyone knows that even though your highest rated skill is only at an 8, you've managed to give your starting character 23 dice to roll when shooting people right in the face for money.
