sick
« on: November 23, 2003, 10:02:10 AM »
I got it. I blame the children (well, one of the children, she gave it to me). I had a sudden urge to leave Jeffe's home last night (I blame partially the Friends marathon that was on and partially a weird urge), and on the drive home my fingers and hands got tingly. BY the time I pulled into my driveway I was achey and shivery. It was a NyQuil night. And now I can't talk, so I suppose I'm not teaching Sunday School.

This is something going around the area, if not the country, and it's a nasty little bug. My kid's been sick with it for 4 days now, and I'm hoping I can get over it sooner. My mom was laid low for three days as well. Hopefully, I can use up some of those sick days I otherwise won't get compensated for.

ANd most of all, let's hope I'm better for Turkey day.

Hmm you were laughing like crazy at friends, perhaps it was the lurching driving and stalling out of your car that accelerated it? But yes indeed, I pray your better for the best holiday of the year.

It was ironic that your body knew about it before your concious brain did though. (He bought 2 bottles of juice and devouerd a bag o beef jerky, Protein and Juice boys and girls protein and juice).

Woah!! That was something I did not need to know about you.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. A couple of people at work caught a bug and didn't have a voice for a couple of days.

Here's hoping you feel better for your favorite holiday of the year.

thanks. It probably comes as no surprise that my supervisor was completely insenstitive to my needs. She tried to get me to come in at 6pm. However, since my child has Bronchitis, and I probably have the same, but at the minimum have a fever, cough, and chest pains (is it a heart attack or congestion? well, since it's been going on for at least 8 hours, I'm thinking congestion), I told her no. She wants a doctor's note. I'm thinking of telling her where she can stick that doctor's note.

Well to be fair it is Thanksgiving week, and most people who are "sick" are just trying to get a head start on vacation. Get the note, the stuff it up her @#$!%^*

up her nose?

;)

Is this because you don't want to go to the doctors? or is it because you don't think you should have to bring in a note?

I think, like many other policies this chick has tried to impose, that it treats me too much like a child. There is *no* trust of the employees, and we won't get into their hypocrisy with that.

If it's anything like the bronchitis I had during Sept. and Oct., I'd suggest going to the dr. sooner rather than later. Mine is STILL lingering on, even after a round of antibiotics. It's still hard to climb the 4 flights of stairs it takes to get to my apt.

feh, I'm not EVEN going to address that, because you're obviously not anywhere close to the same level of discussion on this.

that's not the point.

And I've decided that instead of my word count, I'm going to post on the calendar my highest temperature of the day. Today's highest measured is 102.8. My daughter has me beat out by .2 though. Now, for that bottle of NyQuil....
