and the widow was at the funeral
and they had quite a catfight
and they fell into the hall where the casket was resting
and the preacher just left in the middle of the service
cause death was one thing but women made him nervous
and he ran to his car and he drove round the corner

You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Strange as angels
Dancing in the deepest oceans
Twisting in the water
You're just like a dream

Just wondering if the "Strange as angels" had anything to do with S E

and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)

Black, you're looking for that sun
You're looking for that light
Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way

Wonderful. I'm a big fan of the Cure. I know this is a lyrics post but I was just wondering what you think of their new stuff. I'm not nearly as fond of it.

most fans of any band say the same thing. They say it about RUsh, the Kinks, U2, the Rolling Stones, Matthew Sweet, They Might Be Giants... anyone who's been around a while. Of course bands change over time. Generally though, I find that bands get better with time because they mature and expand upon themselves.

I listen to music much differently than most people though. I listen to music like I watch movies and read books.

and to bring it back on topic:

Muskrat ramblin, ramblin along
big fat tail, draggin the ground....
So I bought me a trap and a pound of ham
Said "Gonna get you sam"
The Muskrat ramble is gone.

She had a history of killing herself
I had a habit of dying
I think she gave me something to live for
I guess I helped her pass the time

Run to the place
That hides the pain
You have inside
Cover my chain
It hides the strain
Only to glide

I always thought that I would love to live by the sea; to travel the world alone and live more simply.  I have no idea what's happened to that dream, cause there's really nothing left here to stop me.
I got soul, but I'm not a soldier.

Somebody told me that you had a boyfriend who looked like the girlfriend that I had in February of last year.

Step out the front door like a ghost into the fog
where no one notices the contrast of white on white
in between the moon and you
the angels get a better view
of the crumbling difference between wrong and right
