Ones I can remember
THat time travel one looked pretty stupid
Harry Potter this summer. Woot! I'll be watching, but what's up with those hugenormous toads with the choir? Draco looks more and more like his steady diet of evil is manifesting on the outside. That kid is gonna be a great character actor.
Captain Skybeer or whatever it was. two thoughts. "Yay!" for the revival of pulp fiction movies. But "Why did that look like crap?"
Spider-Man 2: You know I'm there
blanking on the rest, someone help me out here
Also, Punisher coming out in April. YAY! Though it's sure to be "R" rated. and wth is going on with Disney? They release a movie every other week! With that Cowtown movie or whatever (all I can remember is "bust a moo" which is going to drive me to psychotic violence before long). ANd who here thinks "Teacher's Pet" deserves a feature film status? Yeah, that's what I thought.
-
Oh, the new Viggo Mortensen one. That looks like it has a lot of potential, AND I could take my wife to it. Pretty cool.
-
The new Viggo movie is called Hidalgo. I definitely want to see it--I like horses! and Viggo's a good actor, too.
-
I am thinking that the previews I saw were a bit different from the previews you saw.
Spider-Man 2 was there, as well as Hidalgo.
Harry Potter wasn't, nor Punisher and this Captain Skybeer you speak of.
There was some movie with Vin Gasoline in it. Rikkus or something.
The time travel one was with Ashton "Likes Older Women" Kutter.
The first trailer though, The Mask 2. Everyone booed that. Who knows how that one is going to do.
-
actually, I didn't mean to imply that PUnisher had a trailer. that was more of an add on. There was a poster for it though. This time he actually has the skull on his shirt. Down with Dolph Lungren!
Ah, yes, Mask 2. I think I had blocked that out. THanks for reminding me and causing even more damage to my psyche.
What other trailers did you see, Gemm? we've got 4 that were the same, I'm surprised you didn't get the harry potter one.
-
Interesting and impressive I vill list my trailers after fridays "Leadership" meeting government funds well spent.
-
I think that was it. 5 that being.
-
Yes, I remember the Vin Diesel movie. Pitch Black 2, just with a different name. Looks really stylish, but I expect it doesn't have a script.
The was also the new Rock movie. If it's more of a comedy than a "based on a true story" movie, then it will be good. But I'm not setting any expectation for it.
-
"rock" movie?
-
Rock as in the wrestler, not the movie.
-
ick
-
Ah yes, the Rock movie. I forget what it was about.
-
My trailers were really really dumb. The Punisher was one of them, but--ug, not my style. No Skybeer or whatever that is, no Spiderman 2 (and I was looking forward to seeing that trailer). No Disney movies either. And no new Viggo Mortensen movie. :'(
There was a obnoxious dancing baby in the Mask 2 preview, quite unnecessary. :P Oh, and the Rock movie, the one in which he takes back the town from the evil druglord--hmm, maybe he's trying to become the new Stephen Segal. :P
No good movies, none at all.
-
You guys aren't giving the Rock enough credit. He's a very likeable, charismatic actor who, while not an oscar winner, is perfect for action movies.
-
Yeah, while I dont' think much of him, comparisons to Stephen Segal are going to far. Segal's face is made out of plastic, he doesn't look half so tough as he thinks he does, he acts worse than Jean Claude Van Damm and he minces rather than walking or even fighting. Freak.
Rock at least looks and acts tough, yet he can move.
-
Well, I was speaking more to his acting ability than to his physical movement, so that point is conceded.
-
The Rock movie is called Walking Tall. It is actually a remake of an old movie starring Bo Svenson that came out in the early 70's. The Vin Diesel one is actually called "The Chronicles of Riddick," and follows the exploits of the Pitch Black psychopath. Actually, the trailer to that looked amazing. It looked like a Dune movie. I was really getting into the trailer until Vin popped up. After that, I just kicked myself for letting myself get my hopes up.
-
Well I seeed the movie again today, and there was a different trailer in it this time round. Let me check to make sure no one's mentioned it.
...
Hellboy. Thats what it was, guess no one else saw's this one yet. But yes, it seems really weird. In that being to me, because I know nothing of the characters nor much of the series. It seems like it could be interesting.
And to add something about the Rock. He is not as bad as that Steven Segal "person." Ugh, I've tried to watch his movies... but no. They're just so bad. "I ended up in Alaska, saved by eskimos, and now I think I may be a polar bear. Oh no, bad guys. Lets hope someone can.." augh.. it hurts to think about him.
-
a hellboy film, eh? cool.
-
Yeah, I figured you'd be the only one interested in it.
-
Well you figured wrong!
-
We had some long chats about Hellboy back when Kilowatt still frequented the forums. I'm quite impressed by the story, and excited to see the movie (which has Ron Perlman as Hellboy). I can't seem to find the Clix figure anywhere, though, so it's back to the trading trenches.
-
I got to see the Punisher trailer this weekend and it looks very cool. I just hope the ending isn't as confusing and over CG'ed as Hulk.
-
PUnisher doesn't require as many sfx as the hulk would, since the title character isn't 16 feet tall and nearly as wide, a shape normal humans can't even fit to scale.
I would still love to see a "Maximum Carnage" movie. THAT would be a CGI fest that I would pay to see repeatedly if done as well as spidey. I wouldn't even care if there was only as much plot as there was in the book.
-
No, I liked Hulk. The climatic battle sucked. And not just because I had no idea what was going on.
-
no, the ending didn't really fit. It was more like a filler issue interrupting a story arc than a real conclusion
I liked it too. Got it for Christmas. I was just pointing out that the Hulk wouldn't look right played by a person, like he didn't look right in the tv series. But Punisher will.
-
I was talking Hulk the CGI creation, I didn't like the movie because of the ending. And it was a little too depressing for me.
