I didn't stiff you the first time! It wasn;t my fault...I tried to get to your house, but was declined...by my Dad...did you really write a backup essay?

Well, Mr. Golden's the Aquatics Supervisor for all the swim meets, waterpolo games, etc., so he always talks to me there (since I do play those). On Friday, he told me that he loved our report...so...I'm hopin' for an A.

Great, I hope I helped. I can live vicariously thorough your youth and then get grouchy when I want you to go to buisness school and you want to take out all your savings and buy a pair of Diamond earrings for a date with miss Amanda Jones the hottest girl in town.

He's referring to the fantastic eighties movie "Some Kind of Wonderful" where the main character takes out most of his savings, buys a pair of diamond earrings, and wants to give them to Amanda Jones, a popular girl he really likes at his school.

actually, yes, that movie is pretty much recognized as the best teen movie of the 80s. Though Pretty in Pink had a better soundtrack.

I'd argue that SE, I beleave more people think the Breakfast Club was the best teen movie from the 80's.  Both BC and say anything beat out somthing kind of wonderful on EW's list they did last year.
