Corrupting dice is my super-power.

I always set my dice with desired number facing up.  Just this year I bought a set of dice, played with them twice, then went and bought another set because they weren't rolling well.

See, my BS theory is that dice are not all weighted exactly the same. Depending on chemical composition and how evenly the material is distributed through the dice affects the general outcome of the rolls. Now from working with compounds like apoxy, acrylic, metals, platics and other materials, when you pour the element into the mold, the lighter aspects tend to float to the top unless measures have been taken to prevent this. So if the dice is lighter on one side, shouldn't that side show up on top more often? Also, doesn't an engraving like the 20 side lighten it over the 1 side? Just food for thought.

Then again, sometimes the best thing is to just put your fears behind you, pick up your dice, and roll 'em, and just let the dice fall where they may.

But if you ignore the Fates, you might end up with bad karma.

this all sounds rather insane in my opinion, my group pays little attention to which dice that we use except that they all be the same color from the same set. If they roll bad, so be it. The rolls are simply used for determining probability, nothing else. Well...maybe throwing after rolling two 1's consecutively, or, perhaps, in Risk, the board game, when the defender beats your rolls 10 times out of 10, all 6's vs my 2-4's. Annoying, but nothing special. It is the individual that has the Luck factor. I roll worse than one of my friends, always. My brother rolls amazingly when rolling up characters, even when using a dice cup. I dont take luck into account most of the time. Its selective by person.

To defy the lucky dice gods is begging for failure in the gaming world in my opinion papersword.  However, to each their own. Pardon the irony, but good luck.

From recent experience, i have found that games that require the random rolling of dice or choosing of cards is purely pschological. I made myself act overly-optimistic to the point of stupidity while playing Monopoly with a group of friends. I owned them two games in a row. Of course, this was after a long-awaited session in our DM's on-going campaign. All was good.

A friend of mine would always roll his entire set of dice pre-game, putting them aside when they rolled their max, until the whole set was showing its max value.

I may do that, except that it might take me a few gaming sessions with my set.
