Title: Mr. P's Signature Contest
Post by: Mr_Pleasington on December 04, 2002, 02:22:40 PM
Okay folks, I'm afraid my Space Ghost Quote has had it's time in the sun and is now ready to retire.  Problem is, I can never decide on a good quote to use.

So post signature suggestions here and I'll pick the one I like best. It can be funny, thoughtful, or stuff about me.  If you win you get ten million dollars and my thanks. Errrr...scratch the ten million dollars.

Pointless, yes, but it isn't called the Time Waster's Guide for nothing.

Ummmm... for starters, how about the famous line from The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly:

"If you're going to shoot, shoot!  Don't talk!"

Or the old fantasy staple:

"We shall trample your bones and bask in the lamentations of your women."

Or if you are of a Simpsons bent:

"I'm just trying to get into Heaven, Marge.  I'm not running for Jesus."

That last one is from one of my favorite Simpson's episodes!  Right after he chokes on the brocolli a second time...man, that cracks me up.

I always think of good quotes to use, but then I never remember them by the time I'm sitting in front of a computer. Once I come up with something, however, I'll let you know...maybe.

i came up with one i like, but im using it. i came up with it in economics. such a marvellous lesson. not boring at all, oh no!
mr p, do what i do - simply put somethign extremely dodgy in it until you think of something new. last time i did that, i used "Hi-yah! *boom*" which i am sure worried the heck out of all the lurkers and guests :)

Oh, let's see.  That "Wizards are never late" quote from the Lord of The Rings is a great one.  Every time Sir Ian says that one, it makes me crack up.

He's got a point. Really the two pics aren't very different. I need to get myself one. Sigh.

Well, a hearty thanks to Slant for the use of such a wonderful quote, but, I think its time to change back to a less explicit siganture.

Thanks to all who played!
