Doesn't help that the voiceover on the video sounds like the narrator at the Haunted Mansion.

That would be the late Mr Paul Frees   ;D

Did you get #1 of the first AoD series or Shop Til You Drop Dead? Probably the first one since you said it picks up after the movie.
Mostly I stick with the Star Wars titles, Army of Darkness and Battle of the Planets. Occasionally I'll check out some weird monster/zombie thing. The Nocturnals is one of my favorites, but it's not regular series.
Been keeping up with the Space Ghot limited series too. It details his origin and is more along the lines of the original show than C2C.

I was going to post that, but I didn't know if enough people would get it.

WRONG

Well, it wasn't a statement of fact, so I'm not sure how my opinion can be wrong...anyway...
What I meant was: Companies should realize that taking a game as is, or forcing it's completion, by a deadline does not always deliver a quality product.
Yes, deadlines are a good idea to make sure the product is done in a timely fashion, but it also should be a realistic goal.

After a few months of catching up on the Star Wars EU (I can't recommend enough reading Labyrinth of Evil if you're seeing Ep3), I finally managed to get to my "other" pile of books.
Just finished Dan Brown's Angels and Demons, which was good. I enjoy his blending of mythology, fiction and mystery.
Just starting The Supernaturalist. Didn't realize when I ordered it that it's written by Eoin Colfer, who did the Artemis Fowl books. So I'm sure this will be fun.

Some day companies will realize that making a deadline and making a good game don't always go together.

Don't like it. Why bother playing the game then? Why not just buy a character with max stats and equipment?
When I play these games it's the getting the next level/power/cool item that's the reward for playing. Why reduce it to who wants to pay for it? That's rhetorical, by the way  ;)

Yeah the ending just...ended.
Apparently there was a whole subplot between G0-T0 and the remote and a whole planet of droids. You can tell watching the cut scenes things were left out and that just makes me sad.

Mr P: you may want to check the requirements listed on Rep Commando. I thought I remembered seeing a 5700 number in there someplace and the card you posted is 5500.

yeah, there's nothing wrong with disliking it (although I still maintain you'll be wrong *wink*). I'm not sure where that's even been said in this thread.

May have been a reference to my metion of fanboys and the derogatoriness thereof.
I think by it's usage it's supposed to be somewhat derogatory. *shrug*

Don't know if you've seen these yet. Looks like a miniatures game for kids. Some figures shoot projectiles  ;)

There's also a slew of other games coming out including another Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit DVD Edition and Risk.

It'll probaly be D20 too, which is dissapointing.

Nope, just saw the press release. It will be using a modified version of CJ Carella's UniSystem, which is what most Eden RPGs use.
Now you can cross: superheroes, zombie survival horror, Buffy/Angel, witches, Apemen and someday Army of Darkness  ;D

I had the same thing happen. I was running a GeForce MMX 440. No pixel shading there.
There are some decent cards in the $150 range. Almost anything you buy will be able to do pixel shading. I picked up a GeForce 5700 for $160 and have been very happy with it.
You'll also need a shader card if you want to play the new Star Wars Lego game coming out. There's already a demo out. I have to say this was by far one of the most enjoyable SW gaming experiences I've ever had.
And now City of Heroes costumes are shiny!
