Ok, so I have not been able to think of a reason as to why my players characters are in the Czech other than to help some agency out with something. Anyone have any idea(s) on what I could make them do?
-
I have absolutely no idea how to answer your question, Gemm, but I think the subject of this thread is absolutely histerical. You've been kneading your ideas? How do you do that? Massage your head?
-
Right, well thank you Stacer. And yes, I do massage my head.
-
perhaps the agents are opening a bakery in the czech republic. Perhaps, also, they have gone there to learn the secrets of baking from a Czech master.
To do something more serious, I need to know a lot more about the game.
-
Ok, theres four characters. Brash young woman who is very head strong, another young woman who is a librarian for the CIA, a younger woman who is a hacker-type, and a middle-aged man who likes to take things out with his fists, then ask questions.
Basically they've been sent to the Czech to help deal with some business they asked the CIA to help them with.
(On a side-note, I have 3 female players and 1 male.)
-
what time frame? 2004? You could allwayse do something with Chechens, or Al-Queada. Or go some old group (like old commies) are trying to start up the soviet union again.
-
Ahahahah. Glad you brought up the Soviet Union thing Sprig. It is 2004, or its 2008-9. One of those 2.
I have them involved, under the group name "Crimson Scorpion" from the Menace Manual. So they will be involved, except it is really hard to get their name from anything. Since they have ties, very loosely tied, to businesses. There are only a handful of people that know the actual goals of CS, but there are many that know of them.
-
Your RPG gender deomgraphic is 3 females to one 1 male? You don't need any ideas from us--you're already a genius.
-
A group of hackers operating from within the Czech Republic has been hacking into US government (or some other western government, the CIA might just be helping) so your PC team gets sent in to find out whats what and hunt them down. Later on, maybe the hackers are working for someone else - a foreign government hostile to the US maybe, with the Czech republic being used as cover.

Oh man, that was great Fell. And I really don't know how it happened.
-
I just made the demographic 4:1. How're those odds for ya Fell?
-
they'd be good if it wasn't hypothetical women you were talking about... how many of those women are men playing women characters....
ANd they said Tomb Raider had no effect on the minds of america's youth...
now lets run Laura into a few more walls and watch the Jiggle.
-
oh and how about Dough the levening.....""
a new Game from White wolf
-
Ok, I love the joking and the jokes, and the hulabaloo. But I'd really like some help here, you know, serious help. Like Entropy, who is devoid of anything fun.
-
(On a side-note, I have 3 female players and 1 male.)
they'd be good if it wasn't hypothetical women you were talking about... how many of those women are men playing women characters....
uhm... irrelevant. He said players, not characters.
-
Well, the three of them are playing female characters.
-
well then I misread what he wrote....
Just out of curiosity how much does your group weigh collectively....
-
Collectively they weigh "never ask that again." Ill-conceivedly they weigh "whatever you want." With a two-by-four they weigh "one plus wood."
-
So saying you have "tons" of fun would be accurate.
-
In the notion that I have a disk, there is no space inside. The can-can can do what you do.
-
I have no Idea what you just said...
-
Neither do I, but it's the first time Gemm's made me laugh out loud.
How about a vast corporation that sells bottled spring water, based on a floating headquarters in the middle of the ocean.
Or, um, a group of Czeckoslovakian anarchists/extreme sports enthusiasts who, um...
Well, tell me this: are you going a normal modern world, or are you using the Urban Arcana book? Are you trying to emulate the feel of James Bond, Charlie's Angels, Clear and Present Danger, The Thomas Crown Affair, or Mission: Impossible? Do your characters solve problems via talking to them, infiltrating them, or shooting them?
-
Normal modern world, no crazy ghouls and stuffs. I'm trying to go for the James Bond, I have Agent 001383 accompanying the group. And they can do all 3, talking to them, infiltrating them, or shooting them.
