Calling Archon & Gorgon!
« on: October 24, 2006, 10:44:27 PM »
Hey, guys, are you going to come down to the TWG gathering for all the fun hijinx or what? SE's got a place for you to stay, and we've even got a lineup of primo activities planned. Gaming, eating, writing, pumpkin slaughter, costume foolery, homemade vittles courtesy of Jeffe, etc., etc.

So are you gonna give us the pleasure of your company or go down in party-pooper infamy? ;)

Sorry, I meant to post about this sooner but I became distracted by a weekend out-of-town.

I discussed it with Archon when I went to visit him and we decided it's just no good--it's very unlikely I'd be able to swing my driving 10 1/2 hours there and back to stay with people I haven't 'met' for a weekend when I have class the next week.

*sigh*

Oh well, maybe next time. -_-.

That's what I said; Gorgon just put it into more suitable terms. Anyway, I wish we could make it, but, like Gorgon, I have classes the next week, and it just wouldn't work out so well for me. Have a blast though, the rest of you.

be prepared for an assassination attempt. It'll probably be half-hearted though. We want you available to sacrifice for the next Gathering.

Why wait? Do they need to be fattened up or something?

(Too bad you guys can't come!)

It's more fun to do it in person.

Tell the ninja-monkeys I'll set the milk and cookies on the kitchen table. Don't, however, tell them that they are poisoned. Let's leave that part as a surprise.

They've spent the last several years building up an immunity to iocane powder. And most other poisons, fictional or otherwise.

Anyway, when should the next TWG-E Con be? Sometime when more people can drive to it and not sweat classes or something.

Obviously for Archon and I, sometime in the summer would be much more likely.  Especially since I plan to be on the road a good chunk of the summer if I can swing it, and I know that Archon and I plan on driving a good chunk of the country down to Georgia and back, too, which bodes well for a detour to the sweetness of the TWG gathering.  Before then, I'll see what I can do to make it but my attendence, and I can guess Archon's, is unlikely.

we can possibly plan around a road trip (or within one, as the case may be. I just want people to be able to come, and the more notice we have on exact dates, the more likely that is.

Just to clarify, SE, my parents live in Georgia now. So, we're not taking a road trip so much as staying with my parents for a while. So, we will probably have a couple weeks to plan around.
