So, uh... how do authors get subforms here?

If i understand correctly, all of the authors are personal friends of the non-author owners/admins of the site, and were asked if they wanted their own section or something. I'm pretty sure it's all just authors from the BYU area, since its section is LOCAL authors.

Note: All of this could be quite wrong.

As far as I am aware, regular members of the site who are published authors of note are offered sections.  I don't think they have to be personal friends (though, really, if you live near other TWGers, you're bound to become friends), but if not, then they tend to be regulars.
