So, how'd it go? Wish I could have made it for a third year in a row, but I have a very, very good excuse. I won't tell you what it is, but it's good. ;)

It was a lot of fun. It ran shorter than the last couple of years. There were also more wives and babies there this year.

Sorry no pictures were taken Teikel.

Though this was easily one of our most successful Halloween parties, we had (not counting kids) about 26 people there.  The movie was great, even Skar would get Top Gun with a Riff Trax a 6/6 clocks (ACT!  ACT HARDER!).
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

And if there had been an award for best costume, then Super Nate and I would have won .... by default! Since no one else dressed up.

So apparently Nessa thinks plastic bolts superglued to my neck, a dark plaid suit coat that's too small for me, giant clomper boots, and green circles around my eyes are how I normally look.

Great.

aside from the bolts glued to your neck I'd say that's pretty much my recollection of how you always look.

My only excuse is that it was my first TWG party, and I was completely overwhelmed. In a good way.  ;)

Before the TWG party I was at a costume party, and my picture was taken there (by someone with very un-stellar photography skills, as she cut off our legs). The stud standing next to me is my husband, Neo.

Yes, I sewed both costumes myself. I'm sure that's hard to believe.

Also, good news. I thought it would take a while to convince said husband to host the next MST3K riff showing on our totally righteous home theatre. But the moment I said something about you guys bringing Episode 1 to make fun of it, he was in!

I think that's a great picture. Close up enough to see your faces. (Says the semi-professional photographer, so you're good, right? ;) )

And for some reason, Nessa, I thought you were blonde.

Yep. That fact was established a while ago.

*shaking head* I shouldn't have tried to speak yesterday. You know, despite that thread I thought you were *brunette*.  It's just funny how our brains persist in thinking something despite knowing better. And yesterday my brain just persisted in not thinking, I suppose. :)

Well my interest is peaked, I'll tell you what. A date?! Promotion?!

Riiight. This from the woman who made me *the* most stunning mistcloak. Pfft.

Nessa, you and your dh look spectacular!

I only wish there were pics of Skar-kenstein, too.

Sorry to have *piqued* your interest, because it was actually a false alarm. I think. Oh, I don't know. It was a good evening that wasn't even a date, just a bunch of friends hanging out, but that will be unlikely to lead to anything as far as I can tell.

Piqued, yeah. You know, that's the word I had written in the first place; then I second guessed myself. Not my fault, though--blame it on my nasty head cold (thank you, Gemm) or on the ninja monkeys. They're always good for a blaming or two.

Anyway, too bad about the possible date devolving into just "hanging out" instead. :( Perhaps he ought to read the Ensign more often. ;)

No, it's not that. I'm not going to get into it in public, but if you want to know privately you can add me on MSN (I'm pretty sure you have my email, right?). If not, get it from Eric.
