It's spelled Nicrosil, yes.  I have them memorized.  (Am I crazy for listing off the allomantic metals in a very specific order whenever I go up or down the stairs of my home?  There are 16 steps!  It's too good a setup to pass over!)

Didn't Brandon also say something about a Mistborn serial killer?  I think he might have been inspired by one of his podcasting buddies.

he did? Darnit, I'm trying to write a book about a magical serial killer right now...and I've already been influenced by Sanderson enough! why is it so difficult to be original in this world?!

Too many people, so many ideas flying about that most of them overlap in some fashion or another.

But, Chaos, that's a passive thing, I do the stairs thing consciously (mostly anyway).  Iron steel tin pewter zinc brass copper bronze chromium nicrosil aluminum duralumin cadmium bendalloy gold electrum.  Bases before alloys, external before internal, physical mental enhancement temporal.  I think I might be OCD like that.
When to live is to die, and to die is to live, does either really matter?

Yeah, probably a bit OCD. But you're my hero for it.

Oh, you'll probably get SOMETHING next year. Just not an adult fantasy/cosmere book.

Should I get my chalks ready? :)

You aren't. I have my framed Table of Allomantic Metals right above my computer ;)

Definently not alone. I've sketched out the Table of Allomantic metals, and by detecting patterns within the known metals, gave feruchemical and hemalurgic properties to all of them. Looking forward to finding out where I was wrong and where I was right.

I'm thinking probably lenses (I've still only read the 1st one!).

I believe they are refering to a book called Scribbler in which the magic has to do with chalk. if you dig deep enough through the forum you should be able to find the first few chapters, though of course they would be the first few chapters as of several years ago. Still, i think its very interesting and would be happy to read the rest of it.

I really hope Scribbler is next year. I loved that one. Immensely. And I really want to co-ref a certain duel that will take place....:)

If you go to Brandon's blog, Scribbler is one of the categories.  Click on this, and it will pull up a list of every time he mentioned Scribbler in a blog post.  You should be able to find the first three chapters.

Looking forward to Scribbler, myself! Incredible beginning, even if likely to change a bit (to have changed a bit already?) in rewritings.

I'd also be quite happy to see it follow the Alcatraz books.
