I actually think Miranda Cosgrove is a very good actress. Just too....  peppy.... I think the look is about right though and she will learn everything else. The real trick is finding a girl who looks 15 to play the part.

I think Viggo Mortensen is too...  "thick" ...  - in my mind Kelsier is kind of a dandy type character. Think Dick van Dyke from Mary Poppins.

I think Miranda's face just doesn't feel like Vin. Maybe it's that her mouth seems too wide, but something is off of that.

My favorite was Lindsay Lohan for Vin, in the 'mist mini skirt'  Priceless.

I realize it's a joke, but I literally twitch when you do that.  *shudder*

Best of both worlds: Lohan plays vin for half the movie, and cyrus for the second half of the movie.

Carrot top can be Ham.
Tom Cruise as Breeze.
Bono as Sazed

Who can we get Paris Hilton and Oprah to play as?

Oh, also, this thread is now about the ruination of the MB movies  ;D

Well, that might fit, actually.  They're both spoiled, mean word-I-can't-says.

Pssht. Oprah as Tindwyl.
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

I agree.

On a more serious note, who to play Spook, esepecially if they do a trilogy.  They need someone who is able to show all that development, probably some one who will actually grow up during the filming.
That's the nice thing about having a year between each book, and each book being a year long, if they do all three, they probably won't have to worry about actors ageing out.

Justin Bieber for Spook.  <gag> I can't believe I even got it down without losing my dinner.

You realize we are now going to have to sacrifice you atop a stack of those no good Brandon Sanderson novels, that are entirely too long, for your insolence.
