Release of I am not a serial ckiller
« on: March 30, 2010, 05:49:17 PM »
I see reviews on Amazon from last year, but this book was just released. Was this first self published and then Dan picked up a publisher?

you also wrote a book called Monster Inc correct? I don't see that on Amazon. That is self published, so I can buy that from you directly?

It has been out in the UK for a year now, that's where the reviews came from.

why would an American author be released in the UK for a year before the US?

...because a UK publisher bought his book before the US did?

Dan sold his book to Tor earlier, but they didn't have room for him in the schedule of releases until much later. So, we get it now. In the meantime, Dan was able to sell foreign editions. The UK and Germany both got it first. It's just because of funky publishing schedule stuff.

So if you couldn't wait until today, like I couldn't, you could have ordered both I Am Not A Serial Killer and Mr Monster from the UK. I've finished both - devoured them in less than a day each, they were that awesome - and think going to the effort of getting them early to be well worth it.

One of the reviews on amazon is mine.  I read the book a few years ago.  I also reread it when i got my UK copy.

I just got it today and read it practically in one sitting.  I don't usually do that with books.

I loved it!

I just got through with the first chapter. The stuff about the embalming process was interesting, but I'm a little weirded out (in a good way).
