Thieves and Scoundrels
« on: May 18, 2004, 09:01:33 PM »
Someone stole our car stereo.

While I was in the mall for 10 minutes dropping off dinner for my husband.

And it's really my own fault for not grabbing the faceplate this time.

*sigh*

I think I'll go play in traffic now.

That sucks.  I find it horribly depressing when I loose a buck, a stereo, ouch.  Was it a NICE stereo or just desperate theives and scoundrels?

It was fairly nice.  We bought it in december of 2003.  I think it cost us $99.   The LCD faceplate was cracked though (and therefore useless, visually), because we always used to bring it in, and my husband left it on the floor one day and I stepped on it accidentally.

But now we have no music.

Well, that sucks.  I am sorry.  That is a nicer soundsystem than I have ever owned, but the extent of my stereo systems is a ten year old $20 boombox, sooo....

I'm just mad at myself, and I hate dealing with my husband when he's grumpy.  This is going to make him grumpy every time he gets in the car.

I'm sorry. If I had a car stereo, I'd give it to you. Course, I don't have a car stereo.

the problem is not that you didn't remove the face plate, but that you didn't leave a bear trap for the thief's hand.

No, your thinking too small.  A heat sensored death ray.  There is no way ANYONE would steal you car stereo OR give you a ticket if you had one of those.

Yes, because Bear traps are known for their graceful disposal of thieves, scoundrels and the occasional traffic cop...

I'd just leave a guard Koala in there. Even with a stick, those things are vicious enough to be a deterrant.

what about a bear trap weilding anthrax dusted nuclear guard koala with laser vision?
That would be an awesome security system...
