Internship Applications . . .
« on: January 15, 2010, 06:07:29 AM »

So, I'm currently kind of bored.  I'm working on writing my resume and cover letter that I will be using for applying for internships.  I can't even start an internship until next January, but I'm applying now.  I'm majoring in Game Programming for anyone who didn't know, if you have suggestions to companies I should apply for please say something and I'll look into it.

Layout

company name :: popular game

Places who will receive my application information:

Ancient :: Sonic the Hedgehog *
Blizzard :: Diablo
Camelot Software Planning :: Golden Sun *
Harmonics :: Rockband/Guitar Hero
Konami :: Silent Hill *
Lionhead Studios :: Fable *
Lucas Arts :: KotOR
Nintendo :: Mario *
Square :: Final Fantasy *

Anything marked with an asterisk is located out of the country and I'm not expecting to get, but if I do I will make them my top priority because it would add to the experience.

EA has recently laid off a ton of people, so they will be looking for as much free help as they can get.
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

Square Enix actually has offices in LA in addition to Tokyo.  I've dealt with some of the CS staff - very friendly, good senses of humour!

Also, Konami has a big office building in Vegas.  Nice looking place... I always want to stop and go in, but I'm usually in costume, so it might be kind of weird.

That depends, are you dressed like a konami character?

Nah.  I'm in garb, which could kind of be like one of their characters, but I doubt it.
