Why couldn't nerf guns be this cool when i was a kid?
« on: January 12, 2010, 03:08:36 AM »

Why couldn't nerf guns be this cool when i was kid? That's, of course, ignoring the fact that I'm an adult who's more than willing to spend his funds frivolously  on a cool double barrel shotgun dart gun that actually ejects the spent shells.

I mean, seriously, this has got to be one of the best 10 bucks i ever spent.

Wow! I have no response for the gun or your post. Wow!

Heh, I think I'm actually gonna saw off the barrel, so it looks like a sawed off shotgun. Maybe paint it real nice or something, because the currently colors just throw off the appearance in my opinion.

Our old nerf guns may not have been that cool, but they were still super fun.

Careful Eerongal; painting it different colors can get you in trouble with the law, especially if it looks real enough.

Yeah, that was why i planned on leaving the tips of the barrel the unpainted orange.  Though, i dont think I should run into too many problems, Missouri is an open-carry state, and I do enough stuff with real guns in the first place (i have a few of my own, and go shooting usually once a week)

All of our guns are in storage, so i haven't been shooting in about 3.5 years.... if only my highschool had a rifle team

P.S. how is it my dad is an average shot while my mom was on the rifle team and can shoot 3 targets with one bullet? don't you expect it to be the other way around....

My uncles were target shooting at my grandparents' farm.  They pestered my mom until she came out, hit each target in sequence, dead center, handed the gun back to my uncle and went inside. I don't know where she learned to shoot though.

That nerf gun looks better than it works though.  My son got it for his birthday and the little nerf bullets are fragile and tear easily and the gun jams.

Oh? I haven't had it jam, yet. But the darts are a little on the flimsy side. Either way, i got at minimum a few hours of entertainment out of it, so i could do a lot worse with 10 bucks.
