Is it supposed to say "Google Wave Preview" on the top left?

I think I might have already had wave cause I didn't sign up or anything, I just signed into my g-mail account (which I've had since like . . . the first round of invites.

How do you see if you have invites available?

EDIT::  I have 8 invites.

mine had a wave all ready in it titled "Invite others to google wave!" and had a little widget in it for inviting others (and tells me how many i have). Outside of that, i don't know, i just use that wave to invite people.

Gotcha. Threw your name up there for others.

Also, i think wave automatically associates it with your gmail account if it can (i think mine did when i went to log in to it)

Also, if anyone wants to, let me know, and i'll add their wave account to the first post so you can add whoever you want.

Yeah, I'm up an running.  8 invites last I checked.  firstRainbowRose is my username.

I think it does automatically associate with your gmail/google account since it said in the download screen that if you don't have an account you will be prompted to get one.
"The custom of royalty in referring to oneself is to naturally employ the royal 'we'.  We are very happy, we are very sad, we are bored and suffer from ennui.  For a royal prince there's no such word as 'me', It's always 'we'.  So rightfully I should be two or three, don't you agree?"

Looks like we have enough invites to power a small army of wavers, at the moment!  :o

Edit: also, just because the premise that brought this up intrigued me, I think i may look into writing up a dice-roller extension for wave, see what all it entails developing in it and all.

A kind person from Writing Excuses just sent me an invite, and apparently I now have some invites of my own. If any of you want invites, send me an email at any mjwhitehead.com address. I should mention that my available invites are currently in the single digits. ;)

I'm also considering posting some of what I'm writing on Wave for people to comment on, as it can essentially work as a closed online writing group very easily. If you want me to add you to that wave, just wave me when you're all set up.
