They say that? I guess it's kind of true.....

Anyway, candidates who have been nominated and seconded: little wilson and sortitus.

Candidates who have been nominated but not seconded: Inquisitor and Frog.

Nominated but declined: Ookla/Peter (I still can't just call him Peter.... old habits die hard)

I think the real question is whether the new Hero of Ages-elect can serve multiple terms, if he is elected for each of them. As in, are there term limits involved?

I'm not planning on them. If we want someone to be the Hero of Ages for multiple terms, I don't see why they shouldn't be. When we get tired of them, we'll vote someone else in.

We probably ought to define just what the Hero of Ages has power to do as well, in order to prevent another attempt at tyranny such as we just recently experienced *cough* Chaos *cough*.

I disagree. The Hero should be able to do whatever he wants.

I disagree.

You would.

The Hero should be able to do whatever he wants.

Let's not be sexist here. The proper phrasing would be "what s/he wants," or "what (s)he wants."

In all seriousness, I actually say this not as a limitation on the Hero, but rather so that the Hero can actually.... do something. Other than talk fancy and claim general awesomeness. I mean, I think it'd be great fun if the Hero could do fun stuff like force people to change their username, but only for a certain amount of time, and a certain number of times in a given time period. And they have to be able to supply a reason for doing so. (Keep in mind that I'm not going to be the Hero when these rules go into effect, so I'm not talking about being the one changing other people's usernames)

I think Kaz's statement fits my viewpoint more directly than yours, Chaos.....

But if we don't want to define specific powers, the HoA can just sit and do nothing until we all forget they're the hero of ages. That sounds kinda lame to me....

Maybe I just want to get in the impeaching action, too, Andrew. Ever think about that? ;)

You can try... but I don't think we'd get tired enough of our Hero of Ages quickly enough for you to get a majority. I counsel waiting quite impatiently until next year, then impeaching them starting in September. It seems to work quite well.

We should impeach every HoA, every year, even if they did no wrong :D

Just for fun? I don't know, we might have an exceptionally good hero some year....
