And for bonus points, in your comments, just what is "it"?

So at this point, eat it seems to be the preferred response. If "it" is an elephant, I hope he knows that you can do it one spoonful at a time, you don't have to gulp the whole thing.

...although Schlock is one of the few creatures who actually could eat an elephant in one gulp.

I'd kind of like to see that, actually.

I'm pretty sure even this has limits.

At least we've picked up some context for Thurl's previous remarks.  This is much deeper than I was expecting from this storyline.

Also, I'm going to vote "Take a bath in it" just because.

Edit:  Fixed misspelling.

Taking the long odds. I said "make friends with it".

It's an interesting device for tying together the threads. I guess we're going to go back and see the other threads, and Thurl's remarks will gain more depth as we find out just what was going on over there. Here I thought we were going to have a relatively brief setup before going off to the mysterious problem -- but no, we've got some relatively deep threads. And clowns!

Who knows?  With Lunesby involved, the threads may actually be relevant to the larger story.

Oh, and how did Schlock suddenly actually become only halfway-incompetent at the espionage thing?
