Sigyn, local author Julie Wright has talked about going to World Fantasy, so that's a possibility. I haven't talked to her recently, but I'll see if I can get a confirmation.

Steve the Bookstore Guy is no longer going for sure; in fact, I believe he is for sure not going. If any of you happen to be good pals (or evil nemeses) of Steve's boss, try to convince him to let Steve have some time off for vacation.

I bet you are! :(

That sucks, I just wound up in a somewhat similar situation, so I know how you feel...

By the way, for those of you going to WorldCon, you might want to read this post on the writing workshop there...

If I had any clue, would I be here?

In the never-ending saga of going to World Fantasy, I may be able to go after all.

Steve: I don't believe you. Stop playing with my heart!

Stridera: I need a mixture of hibiscus nectar and orphans' tears, served in one of those plastic honey bottles shaped like a bear.

Fellfrosch:  Wouldn't it be easier to find crying orphans up near your area, with the serial killer around and all?

I think I'll be going, but I still don't know where I'll be living when October comes. So I'll be looking to share a hotel room (if I don't end up staying with a friend who lives near SF) but don't know yet whether I'll be driving down.

I call dibs on sharing a bed with you BG.  Rob was too busy moping last time to spoon me, and this time I think he will be too busy day-dreaming.
