Warbreaker Merchandise
« on: June 29, 2009, 11:03:20 AM »
I don't know if Brandon, Inc. was planning on releasing any Warbreaker merchandise (and if he isn't, then hopefully a look at this thread will change his mind  ;D) but I was thinking regardless, what would make some good Warbreaker gear?

They only think that I can think of at the moment is putting witty Warbreaker inspired phrases on T-shirts and other clothing. A few things that come to mind:

Nice hue
Can I have your Breathe?
I brake for Returned only
Lightsong is my homeboy
My other T-Shirt is Awakened
I *heart* Blushweaver
Beware of dead squirrels
I Destroy Evil
Got Breathe?

 :o :o

I spit Dr. Pepper all over the place when I read "Lightsong is my homeboy", when I finally got control of my self, and continued reading I would have done it again had I not (wisely) decided not to take another drink, yet.  Because then I read "Beware of dead squirrels"

I would SO pay for both those shirts.

I think I might buy the 'my other T-shirt is awakened'.

Those are awesome.

All we need is official Brandon go ahead, someone artist to make up some proper designs (even if it is just making the words look pretty) and some one who wants to create a cafepress account.

I'm sure we could come up with a list of more inspired phrases too...

If my interpretation of the license is correct, anyone can make and distribute fanart, but cannot profit from doing so. So, if you can figure out how to rig it so nobody profits from the shirts, you should be good to go without official blessing.

Cafepress allows you to just sell the merchandise for cost and so you don't profile from it at all. However, official blessing just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Bump we need some more good ideas for shirts. Also as necronos said, we need an artist or two to whip up a couple nice designs. Don't know how often Brandon actually checks this forum, but an official OK to do this would be nice.

I'm sure Ookla could get an official response  ;D

Some more ideas

Almond grass (with a picture of a dead squirrel underneath)
I’m Returned, and the drunk monkey named me Fartsniffer the Congested (or something else stupid)
“I’m developing a new skill,” Lightsong said. “Irritation by proxy!” (direct quote)
Red Panther
Kalad's Phantoms!
Austre-ite (on a white t-shirt in a very light grey)
Austre (rainbow colored type)
All your Breathe are belong to us

I don't know about shirts, but I would totally spend a stupid amount of money on a Nightblood replica.

It a more serious vein, I'd do something like

If you can find enough people like you, your wish may be granted. (No, this is not an idle comment.)
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

While I wouldn't spend a stupid amount of money on a replica Nightblood, I'd spend money on one.

I'd spend a stupid amount of money for Nightblood though  ;D
