A fiddly bit on a broom?

Hum... Schlock's broom appears to be a basic pushbroom, but there's a fiddly bit on it? So it ties into the hypernet? I wonder how good it is at browsing?

It could record what it's actually used for. Potentially very handy if you suspect your cleaning crew of slacking off.
