Golden Sun DS officially announced!

They announced it at E3 today. It will be released in late 2010. Can I get a "hell yes"?

I am now listening to Golden Sun music to get psyched.

All I can say: I have always, always Golden Sun's styled artworks. The covers of both games looked phenomenal. I need to find out who draws those

So apparently we play as the descendants of the original game, who look really similar to their older counterparts.

It's curious to me that there are only three people in the image. Only three people in a party? But there are still the four djinn.

Are you sure that was an official box art image?  My thought is that it looks like a really good fan art.  It wouldn't surprise me.

ALSO: The Lost Age and will follow the story of the descendants of the heroes from the previous two games.

So that is just a pretty art because to me those look like Garret, Mia, and Isaac in the artage.

It's not box art image, but it's an image that Camelot released.

I think it's just that Camelot wants to make the descendants look kinda similar to their older counterparts. They aren't the same, especially with the one you called Mia. Mia has never had green hair (or short hair, for that matter).

That hair is blue if you look at it right, just some of the edges are odd colors of blue because of the weird light they are trying to portray.  Also if you look in the back, she has a pony-tail.  The short stuff in the front is just like bangs and little pieces on the side, which Mia did have.

They seriously like never update their site and stuff, it's rather irritating, I check it every couple weeks, and nothing changes. ha ha.

Still, with the Isaac/Garet descendants, their hair color is obviously a match. Mia's hair was obviously blue, but this girl's hair is not obviously blue

Besides, the costumes for the Isaac and Garet descendants are obvious; this girl does not have the same clothes as Mia.

You'd be hard pressed to actually make the case that we will play as the actual characters from Golden Sun. It just doesn't make sense from a gaming perspective to import the near-godhood characters from Lost Age into a game. I don't think it could be done.

Also, the weird lighting seems to me that Alchemy is more powerful, and more visceral. I certainly hope so

I don't think you get to play as the original characters, because in that article you linked it said you're playing as their descendents, I'm just saying that that picture looks like it's of the original cast.

Well, I'm sure Camelot is kind of falling for the "descendants look EXACTLY like their predecessors" thing which happens sometimes. Alas.
