Although, on the plus side, they'll make for really comical old people.

I'm Oliver in OLIVER!

Quote
Oliver is what I hate about musicals. The songs don't advance the plot—there's really no point to them in the musical besides providing music.
Have you ever seen the play? If no, then see it before you speak. If yes, then listen to the words. They actually do advance the plot (in certain songs) and introduce new ideas/people/things (you want an example? the "It's a Fine Life" Reprise). And the music is really cool, so.…

Silk, I totally empathize with you. Totally.

I like the musical AND the book.

@miyabi That was odd.

Did you see the mess you started over in multiple wives?  I know it was daman. But you are easier to blame. :P

Silk. That Eddings fan of yours sounds like he's very busy.  Fortuantely I was referring to a fictional character.  Hope that book comes along.  And pardon my impatience.

To give Silk some credit, she didn't actually dub herself that. That was Monsta and me. Well...mostly Monsta. I picked up on it pretty fast, but he's the one that initially said Silk. I said Edmond Dantes...Silk worked better....Oh, and this is just a minor detail, but the character Silk actually isn't a Sendar. He's a Drasnian. :)

Silk is a character in the Belgariad by David Eddings. First book, Pawn of Prophecy. The dubbing of Silk (or Raethe, as she was known back then) was in the These Stupid Titles VI thread, on page about 41...or somewhere in that region....

I'll have to admit it's been a long time since C'Nedra had me grinding my teeth and I wanted to bash Murgos. :)  Sorry to have misrepresented Silk's ethnicity.

Haha. Yeah. Ce'Nedra will do that to you...And bashing Murgos. So what, you're going to the Hettar school of hunting? Maybe? And it's okay. I'm sure Silk would forgive you. And if he didn't, then it wouldn't matter anyway, because you'd be dead. :P

Miyabi: Yes, some of the music we do is in a pretty similar style to those guys.

Hey. Hey. I should make them let me sing Zoot Suit Riot! I'd totally be a hit with that song.

"The dubbing of Silk" sounds very formal. And I love how Wilson knows not only the thread, but the page number...

Renoard: He's a pretty busy character. People keep describing him with words like "masochist" and "workaholic", whihc, for the record, totally don't apply to me. Especially 'cause we're talking about fictional characters here. *cough*

Thanks! The book is coming along nicely and WILL be done soon, or else I'll explode. Or maybe implode.

Maybe bring an umbrella, just in case.

PS: This Silk, at least, forgives you for mixing up Silk's ethnicity, as she didn't pick up on the discrepancy to begin with... ;)

I have approximately another 50,000 words to write, if that makes you feel better.

I messed 'em up on purpose. I like a little variety. ::)
