Work and school are kicking my butt, I'm up late every night and have to wake up at 6 so I can be to school on time. :(

While mowing the lawn earlier today, I somehow managed to place enough pressure against the skin of my thumb earlier today that it dragged the skin entirely to one side, to the point where it tore the skin on the other side (on one side, you have a pile of skin, on the other side a tear).

I meant to say, unless that was the result of some pretty violent trauma you might want to get a checkup.  Skin shouldn't be that fragile.

Well, my skin is usually moderately tough, so I'm not worried yet.  Besides, I was able to slide the skin back into place, and it seems to be healing back pretty well.

Is it a long split or just a little one?

Mother is attempting to convince me to audition for reality shows again. Unfortunately,  I don't have any real excuses this time, and if I just say "don't wanna" I will be hearing her whine about it for the rest of my natural life.

I could move out, but then she'd probably just phone spam me or something.

You could just tell her that reality shows are beneath you and likely to harm any serious career plans you might have.  Nothing like to truth to win an argument. ;P

The drive home last night sucked.  It was raining really hard and it was dark and I was ridiculously tired.  By the time I got home my stereo was up as loud as it went and the AC was on full blast just to keep me awake.  Ha ha.  Next time I'll make sure I don't work first thing in the morning.

I've lost count of the times I've told her that. The "I don't want to" part doesn't seem to have sunk in either.

*mimics* It's worth ten thousand dollars, I don't see why you don't want to... it's not like you have to go that far (to audition, it is, unfortunately they decided to do the auditions in a city 40minutes down the highway instead of in Vancouver)...

Edit: So now it turns out if I were to get past the first round of auditions, I would have to come back and perform the following day, which would conflict with the concert band rehearsal, and the concert band has a performance the following week. So no, I can't go. So she's mad at me.

That's pretty funny, Silk.

Shag:  It was just a little rip.  It's mostly healed now, though I might end up with a small scar.

It is pretty funny. One day, when I don't have to listen it anymore, I too will look back and laugh. :P

Oh and be sure to tell us when you'll be on T.V.  I want to watch. ;]

EDIT: I'm jealous of Jordon's concept art and I think he should post pictures of it.

Not on TV. I just barely managed to get out of the auditions (hey, I was legitimately busy! Probably. Sort of. Mostly.)

She wants me to do the online auditions now though. ::) To be honest, there's probably no real reason not to (except I'm opposed to gimmicks, especially ones with dumb names); the prize is cash, not a contract.

Now she's telling me if I do it  she'll buy me the harmonica and neck holder that I want to get for Saturday's show thingy. I probably should let her - that's money I really can't afford to spend - but now it's a gimmick AND a bribe!

Quick, guys - am I bribable?

(Also, if I do it, it PROBABLY won't go anywhere, and then she'll shut up about it. At least for another year.)

That sounds like the right bribe to take.
