Actually I define stupidity as intentional ignorance.  Someone who doesn't know, is aware they don't know and also refuses to learn.  It's a character flaw rather than a mental deficit.

But how can you hate people?  People are the best source of entertainment.  Without people there would be no books, or video, or games. ;)

So I sent my little boy to use the bathroom and then went to find him pants to wear today. When I got back to him, he still had his pajama pants on, but his pull-up was gone. I asked him if he knew where it was.  He gave me a surprised look, looked down to make sure it really was missing and said, "Huh, I don't know." This means I have a used pull-up lost somewhere in my house. The possibilities are horrifying.
If I had any clue, would I be here?

I was all set to submit a short story of mine to a local contest, and I've just realized that the short story I was going to submit is under the word limit.

Likewise all my other stuff, it's either too long or too short. ::)

Heh. I'd think about it, but it's a literary contest--I doubt they'd even consider fantasy, really. And I might have a hard time finding a chapter that could stand on its own.

*twitch*

I hate the music they play at work. It's not enough that they play one crappy song, they play all crappy songs. Or even better, they'll just take one crappy song and find FIVE DIFFERENT COVERS for it.

This is me, banging my head against our nicely bleached countertops (so my face can smell like bleach, just like my hands do, even after washing them three times).

Note to self: Get into music industry, change world

If that's all the debt you end up with, you'll be in excellent shape.  Especially if it's a stafford loan.

I escaped with only $5,500, and I was doing better than a lot of others.

Silk, I was just going to recommend you go buy some noise-canceling headphones, like the excellent Audio Technica ATH-ANC7...but when I go to find a link for you, I discover they've been discontinued, and those places that are selling them are asking twice the price I paid for mine! That makes me grumpy.

The thing is, there's really nothing on the market that compares to the ATH-ANC7. You either get a halfway mediocre solution, or you pay an outrageous amount (Bose, I'm looking at you). Those headphones hit just the right price/performance spot. I hope mine last forever.

They sell noise canceling earbuds now. Harrumph. I just can't do earbuds; they fall out of my ears of their own volition, even when I'm sitting perfectly still. I'm not exaggerating.

In light of their discontinuation, I feel kind of prescient for having bought them when I did.
